In the program of this special day: an opening ceremony with a message from captain (mayor of the barangay) and the ABConservation’s president, a lunch for the habitants and several activities for kids.
Since February 2017, the little team of ABConservation studies the binturong in the forest of Langogan: to carry out this mission they collaborate with the habitants of langogan. The Bearcat Study Program (BSP) could not work without the help of several peoples living in the barangay: guides, tree-climbers, people who welcome the team on their house and cook for them, and the persons who have helped to shape several educational panel frames for the exhibition on the binturong. They aren’t only the habitants of Langogan, they are also a family for our team. And this family contributes to the smooth running of the program and, thanks to them, ABConservation have already collected data which had never been collected before on the Palawan Island.
This day was amazing, full of good mood and laugh of children. The exhibition on the binturong and the BSP will start on May 19th until June 30th in the barangay hall: this will let enough time for the habitants and the students (the school will restart in June) to visit the exhibition.
A huge thanks to captain and all the council of Langogan, the Abad family, the habitants of Papakwan farm, Sabuya Coffee Trading, and a special thank to our guides lolo Adok and Marlon for everything they did, and do for us. Thank you!
