For the third year, we were welcomed, Sunday, July, 23h, by our sponsor the ZooParc de Trégomeur. This zoological park, situated in the Côtes-d’Armor in France, is composed of an arboreal site of 14 hectares. It shelters only Asiatic species including a couple of binturong: Dorotha and Kroma.
The educational interventions, in zoological parks, are often associated with weather hazards. Up until now, we have had a lot of chance, because 99% of our interventions took place under the sun. Unfortunately, the sun wasn’t here this day. All the region was under the rain (I would like to add that this Sunday, the half of the France was under the rain). But fortunately, we were sheltered from the rain.
In spite of this weather, the joyful team composed of Agathe, Irène, Isabelle, Françoise and Pauline installed educational tools, presented the binturong to the brave visitors, and Pauline presented (with a powerpoint) the Bearcat Study Program to our volunteers and to the curator assistant of the Park. Because there were few visitors under our shelter, it creates a very family atmosphere.
Assessment of the day: Rainy, but with a lot of good wills, of braves, of good mood and laugh! Anaïs (the curator and eduational assistant) took care of us all the day. Thank you Anaïs ^^ Even if there were a little bit of brave visitors, the Day was incredible!
Return by car under the rain for Agathe and Pauline, but happy of this day! We can do this even under the rain!!
