No need to introduce this zoo anymore, as they became one of our main supporters and a friend of the Bearcat Study Program. The binturong couple, Kaori and Miwa, arrived in 2015 and since then they gave birth every year. It’s very enjoyable to carry out educational interventions with so much activity occurring in front of us. Indeed, in addition to the male born last year, two female cubs arrived this year, and all this little family is very active.
On the day’s agenda, thousands of things: creation of “NO SPAM” stickers for mailboxes, binbinquiz, face painting, presentation of the binturong, food enrichment, new educational panels, merchandise sale. And to top it all off: sunshine!!
In addition to our two volunteers Arnaud and Emmanuel, we got help from Perrine and Laure who allowed us to have a beautiful day and to meet many visitors, increasingly curious about the binturong and interested by our actions in Palawan.
Thanks to Sebastien Laurent, the zoo director, and to his entire team for their great welcome!
